Cape Fear Critters is a small, grassroots sanctuary providing safety and care for orphaned wildlife, neglected farm animals, and forgotten companion pets throughout the Cape Fear region.

Your support helps us cover the real, daily costs of rescue — from emergency vet care and feed to shelter, fencing, and rehabilitation supplies. Every donation goes directly toward the animals we serve.

Cape Fear Critters Animal Rescue & Sanctuary Inc. is a registered nonprofit in North Carolina. We are currently in the process of applying for our 501(c)(3) status, and your donations directly support this milestone. Once approved, donations made during the application period may be retroactively tax-deductible, as allowed by IRS guidelines.

This is Ophelia, a dedicated mother who was rescued by our team. She was given a safe place to raise her babies, and though she had an untreatable medical condition, we promised her that her joeys would be safe and cared for.
